I was first introduced to this training method at Nihon Taiiku Daigaku and then later at Ganryu-jima, in Shimonoseki, Kyushu Japan…where Japanese sword master Miyamoto Musashi fought and killed Sasaki Kojiro. This Happo-giri series covers the fundamental strike, set up and their transitions required to maintain a strong and consistent level of proficiency. This koryu series is designed to execute hundreds and thousands of techniques in a practical manner thus offering you the repetition needed to become a strong swordsman. Training techniques such as this one have been producing skillful swordsmen for millennium. This series begins with the vertical cut which is broken down into five sections. Upon completion of the five vertical sections you will then advance onto the next section, diagonal cuts. This series requires serious practice to create a strong foundation to build upon.
